Hello everyone! I know it's been a while since you've heard from me and I apologize for that! It has been an extremely busy few weeks and even when I've had the time to blog, I couldn't seem to find the motivation to because I was either exhausted or experiencing writer's block! However, I am back and excited for the posts I have scheduled over the next few weeks! This post is to tell you what I've been up to and show you some super fun pictures!
As I said, the last few weeks have been kinda insane... in the last month I've been in 8 different states and taken four different flights. I posted at the end of July telling you about my weekend in Maryland for my friend Karen's wedding, so I won't go into details on that. The week after that was busy with a bunch of wedding things, which you'll be updated on next week in August's Wedding Wednesday post! A week and two days after I landed back at home from Karen's wedding, I got back on a plane to Maryland and went up to Pennsylvania for my friend Vanessa & Mattis' wedding! They had a beautiful sunset ceremony and then we danced the night away with our friends, it was an absolute blast and I am so happy for these dear friends of mine! The next day, Asa and I spent the day in Atlantic City, New Jersey. AC is known for it's casinos, but the beach and super fun boardwalk is what we go for! We've gone three years in a row now and we absolutely love it. The beach is beautiful with nice sand and very swimmable water. (The later in the summer you go, the better, because the water is warmer at the end of August) The rest of that weekend was spent relaxing with my wonderful fiancé! I flew home Tuesday morning and I just can't wait to get back to Maryland. Saturday the 15th, I drove to Plymouth, Massachusetts with my friend Julie to see my gorgeous roommate Kat get married! Another couple that I am so excited for! They planned their wedding in a little more than a month and they did an awesome job! It was a beautiful ceremony and fun reception!
Something else really fun that happened just a few days ago is Asa and I took a trip to New York City! He took a train from Pennsylvania and I drove into the city from here in Massachusetts. Yes, I DROVE into New York City. No, I will not be doing it ever again. It was pretty terrible. Do you watch America's Got Talent? If you don't, you should. Asa and I's good friend, Dane Duncan, is on the show this season with his band 3 Shades of Blue! They made it to the semi-finals and are doing really well! On Tuesday, we spent the day in the city exploring Times Square and Midtown. We ate lunch at Ellen's Stardust Diner, where the wait staff sings while they serve and it was SO cool! The guys and gals who work there are trying to make it on broadway and they are incredibly talented. It was an awesome experience. In the evening, we met up with a whole bunch of people who were also there to support them and went to Radio City Music Hall to watch the live show! It was SUCH a cool experience! Our seats were in the second mezzanine and had a great view! Although, heights and I don't agree and the combination of how high it was and all of the lights and sounds made me pretty sick to my stomach. :( The band sang "Chains" by Nick Jonas and they did AWESOME! It was so cool to see Dane on that stage! Asa and I are so proud of him and can't wait to see where God takes him and the band from here! After the show, our whole group went to a local delicatessen for some late night food and Dane met us there, we all talked about the show and laughed and joked around. It was such an awesome time with some great friends. To end the night, we all went to Times Square around midnight to see it, celebrate, and take some pictures. It was really a fantastic day. Asa and I got back to my house around 4 in the morning and needless to say, we were pretty exhausted the next day, but it didn't stop us from getting some wedding stuff done!
Well, that's pretty much the gist of what I have been up to lately! I hope you've enjoyed this post! I am so excited for the next few weeks on the blog! :) What have you been up to lately?
