Well, it's September and even though the first day of fall is technically later this month, summer is winding down. Kids and college students are back in school and the cravings for fall are in full swing. Dunkin Donuts has Pumpkin Spice Coffee again and the days and nights are starting to get cooler. Summer 2015 was an exciting one. I didn't think that I would be spending it in Massachusetts, but it turned out to be a good one.
June was great. I moved home in the beginning of the month unexpectedly and the first couple weeks were rough being away from Asa again after living 10 minutes from each other for three months. We celebrated my parents 25th anniversary with a party and then at the end of June, they went on their 25th wedding anniversary trip to Punta Cana, DR and my sister and I were on our own for ten days. We had lots of laughs and fun and we were able to have some great sister bonding time. We had some friends and family over for a game night and laughed with them until the early morning hours and it's one of my most fond memories. June was indeed a great month. It certainly came with it's challenges as Asa and I adjusted to a long distance relationship again, but we pushed through all the while remembering that distance is temporary. Plus, June was the one year mark until we are husband and wife! I can't wait!
July started off with a lot of fun! My parents flew home from Punta Cana on the same night that Asa flew in for the fourth of July holiday and it was so nice to have them home and him here. Some exciting things took place in July! We went to David's Bridal and I found my wedding dress! We finalized our wedding party, which is awesome. We celebrated my beautiful cousin's 11th birthday, which is really crazy to me that she is already 11 years old! I flew to Maryland at the end of July to visit Asa and go to our friends, Karen and Michael's, wedding! We spent a day in Virginia Beach and then attended the wedding! It was such a fun little vacation with my guy! We spent the rest of the weekend in Maryland and we visited my friends Emily and Joe! My flight home on Tuesday got cancelled due to a mechanical issue, so I got stuck in Maryland for an extra day and you certainly didn't hear me complain. The last couple of days in July were spent relaxing because I knew that the beginning of August was going to be a busy one!
Whew. August was sort of crazy, but it was so much fun! It started off with a bang! My sister's birthday is August 1st, so we celebrated by going to the New England Patriots training camp and we MET TOM BRADY. Yes, the living legend himself. It was probably the coolest experience of my life. I don't care what your views are on deflate gate or the patriots, as a huge football and patriots fan, it was completely amazing. The day after that we had a family birthday party for her and had some fun with relatives! That week I had some wedding things to handle, so I spent about an hour at our venue with our AWESOME planner Bonnie. Seriously, she is the absolute greatest. Anyway, I also went with my sister and cousin, AKA bridesmaids and tried on bridesmaids dresses for them. Thursday of that week I hopped on another flight to Maryland for my dear friend Vanessa's wedding. She was just stunning as always. Asa and I spent another day at the beach except this time in New Jersey and we had so much fun! We spent the rest of that weekend together releasing in Maryland.
I returned from Maryland and that next weekend drove out to Plymouth, Massachusetts for one final wedding of the summer, this time to see my wonderful roommate Kat marry her love bug Andrew. It was another beautiful wedding to conclude wedding season for me! Next wedding season, it's Asa and I's turn!!! I am so excited. Anyway, the following week Asa and I took a trip to New York City to see our friend Dane play with his band on America's Got Talent! It was such a cool experience and so much fun! Although I never want to do NYC in a day again! There is so much to see and we didn't have time to see anything other than Times Square and Radio City, which were still both awesome! Asa was here for the next day and then went home. I picked up my wedding dress too! The whole last full week of August was primarily spent in bed with a super stinky summer cold.
Well, September is upon us and summer has pretty much gone! I am looking forward to fall and even winter a little bit! Here's to a new season and new adventures!
