I am so excited for the rest of this month on "Love, Kaycie"! I made a schedule today for the rest of this month's posts and I can't wait to share them with you!
Today I am going to let you in on what is in my cosmetics bag! These items have become my go-to make up products. I wrote this post once when my blog was hosted on another platform, but I didn't transfer it over because I knew I wanted to re-do it since some of my products have changed! I'm sure as life goes on, some of these things will change again, but for the last few months, these have been my products and I think you'll love them too!
** none of these opinions are sponsored in any way, all opinions are my own :) **
1. Rimmel Match Perfection Concealer
This stuff is the bomb.com. and I never say that. It covers up blemishes and dark spots like no other concealer I've used, and I've tried a lot. I usually can't find this at many places other than CVS, but I've also seen it a few times at Target & Walgreens. It's not very pricy and if you use it sparingly (you don't need a lot) it will last you a while too!
2. Rimmel Lasting Finish 25Hr Foundation
Wow, Wow, Wow! Ok. This foundation is THE BEST I've ever used on my face. I don't know about lasting for 25 hours, because I've never had it on that long. However, it does last and look untouched from the time I put it on until when I take it off at night! It's very true to it's claim of "Lasting Finish". I am absolutely obsessed with this product. If you are looking for a foundation that matches well and will stay on through the summer heat, this is the one for you! BONUS: It has SPF 20, so your face will be protected from the harmful summer sun. :)
3. Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder
Another Rimmel product that I adore. I'm really starting to like this company! It is again true to it's word and it makes your face matte and not shiny. It's a wonderful product and I don't know that I'll ever go back to a different powder. I use E.L.F.'s studio powder brush to apply!
4. E.L.F. Studio Blush
I first discovered E.L.F. during my freshman year of college when StumbleUpon was thing. I ordered a couple products from them before they were sold in stores, and their blush was one of them. I haven't looked back since. It's easy to blend and doesn't leave you with clown cheeks. What else can you ask for? I use their studio blush brush to apply. Not to mention that all of their products are under $10!
5. E.L.F. Studio Eyebrow Kit
I had to do some serious searching to find this baby in a store, but you can always order it from E.L.F.'s website. This is a gel/pressed powder combination to fill in your eyebrows. I wish I had full and beautiful eyebrows naturally, but I don't, so this helps with that. I absolutely love it, it keeps my eyebrows in line all day long! Comes with it's own applicator.
6. E.L.F. Studio Cream Eye Liner
This eye liner is awesome. It doesn't smudge, it's easy to apply, and it gives a nice solid definition to your eyes. I would highly recommend this product! You can easily apply it with any eye liner applicator or even a small concealer brush, which is what I use.
7. Maybelline "The Nudes" Palette & ExpertWear Eye Shadow Quads
This is a product I've never strayed from. I've used Maybelline for my eye shadow for as long as I can remember and it's been faithful to me the whole way. I love these two products specifically because they provide an awesome natural look. I use them both interchangeably. I don't always do full shadow, sometimes I just put a thin layer on over my eye liner, but these two products are versatile and can be used in many different looks. Which is why I love them so much.
8. Maybelline "The Rocket" Waterproof Mascara
I love every mascara that I've used from Maybelline, but this one is my absolute favorite. It doesn't clump, it makes your eyelashes look great, and it doesn't make your lashes feel heavy like some mascaras can do. Also, waterproof because you just never know.
9. Eyelash Curler
Every girl should have one of these. They're pretty essential even if you have naturally curly lashes, a little extra curl never hurts. :)
10. Eyebrow Trimmer
I'm not sure that eyebrows is exactly what this went meant for, but thats what I use it for. I mean, who doesn't love to not have to pluck? ME! Granted, you will have to trim them more often using this, but it only takes about a minute or two once you know what you want your brows to look like, it's easy to fit into a make up routine!
I'm thinking about doing a make-up tutorial for the first time in the next couple months. What do you think? Would you watch?
Do you use any of the same products as me? Are there any products you would recommend? Let me know in the comment box below! I'd love to hear from you! :)
