Meet Kaycie - The Girl Behind The Blog
Hey People! I am Kaycie Vanden Top, the girl behind the blogging and images here at Caffeinated Kaycie!
The first and most important thing that you should know about me is that I am a lover of Jesus Christ. He died for me and sacrificed His life so that I may have everlasting life, so I lay my life down before Him every single day.
The second thing that you should know about me is that I am engaged to the most incredible man to ever walk the earth. Asa Apprey is patient, loving, funny, kind, encouraging, selfless, and unbelievably handsome. I cannot wait to be his Mrs! All the heart eyes.
If I were to introduce you to my family, you would meet my role model of a mother, rock of a father, and inspiration of a little sister. Not to mention our three fur-babies - a golden retriever, maltese/shih tzu, and an orange tabby cat. My family is my everything, and I would do anything for them.
I was born and raised in New England and, other than college and a couple brief stints in South Dakota and Maryland, I've lived here my whole life. No matter where else in this country or even this world I find myself, New England will always be my home and the sports teams will always be my favorites. GO PATRIOTS. ahem. That's all.
I recently graduated from The University of Valley Forge. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Youth Ministry and a certificate in Theater Arts. My five (yep, five) years at UVF were incredible and challenging and made me grow up in so many ways.
Some of my favorite things include but are not limited to: coffee, the beach, reading, music, coffee, reeses peanut butter cups, blankets, and coffee. ;)
WHY "Caffeinated Kaycie"?
I had been debating for a long time on changing my blog name. I wanted it to be something fun, but also something that related to my life. There was one day that I had too many cups of coffee and I said to my co-worker, "this is what caffeinated kaycie looks like" and it just stuck! I love coffee, and I'm a fun and bubbly person, so I think it fits!
My previous name, "Love, Kaycie" still applies to my blog. You will still see everything here written in love. I still believe that love trumps hate and that everyone deserves that. I want this to be a place where my readers can find hope, joy, and encouragement.
"... and now these three remain: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love." - 1 Corinthians 13:13
